4 - Karen S. Lynch - CVS Health

Karen S. Lynch is President and Chief Executive Officer of CVS Health since February 1, 2021. Prior to becoming Chief Executive Officer, she was Executive Vice President, CVS Health, and President of Aetna.

Before joining CVS Health, Ms. Lynch held executive positions at Cigna and was President of Magellan Health Services.

Additionally, Ms. Lynch serves on the board of U.S. Bancorp and Chairs their Audit Committee. She is a trustee of The Bushnell Performing Arts Center and a member of the Global 50 as well as the Boston College Women’s Council. Ms. Lynch also serves as a member of the Business Roundtable.

16 - Rosalind Brewer - Walgreens Boots Alliance

Rosalind Brewer joined Walgreens Boots Alliance as Chief Executive Officer on March 15, 2021, and is also a Director on WBA’s Board.

Ms. Brewer was most recently Chief Operating Officer and Group President at Starbucks. Prior to Starbucks, she served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Sam’s Club, a division of Walmart, Inc., and held several executive leadership positions with Walmart prior to that. Prior to joining Walmart, she served as President of Kimberly-Clark Corporation's, Global Nonwovens Division, and held various management positions at Kimberly-Clark.

Ms. Brewer currently serves as the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees for Spelman College. She also is a Board Member of VillageMD, World Business Chicago, Business Roundtable, and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African-American History and Culture.

She is currently ranked #6 on Fortune’s 50 Most Powerful Women in Business and was named one of the 25 most influential women by the Financial Times in 2021.[2]

22 - Mary Barra - General Motors

Mary Barra is the Chief Executive Officer of General Motors, since January 15, 2014, as well as the Chair and founding member of GM’s Inclusion Advisory Board. Ms. Barra has also served as Chair of the Board of Directors for GM since January 4, 2016. Prior to becoming CEO, Ms.Barra has had a long career at GM serving as Executive Vice President of Global Product Development, Purchasing and Supply Chain since, and as Senior Vice President, Global Product Development, vice president, Global Human Resources; Vice President, Global Manufacturing Engineering; plant manager, Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly; and in several other executive engineering and staff positions. 

Ms. Barra is the first women Chair of the Business Roundtable, an association of chief executive officers of America’s leading companies. Additionally, She serves on the Board of Directors of the Walt Disney Company, the Duke University Board of Trustees, and the Detroit Economic Club.[3]

Mary Barra was featured in Forbes' Power Women 2021, ranked 6th, and 50 over 50 2021.[4] She also received the 2021 Demming Cup Award, for “outstanding merit in operations and for fostering a culture of continuous improvement within their organizations.”[5] and the 2021 WBC Excellence in Gender and Diversity CEO Award.[6]

23 - Gail K. Boudreaux - Anthem

Gail K. Boudreaux is the President and CEO of Anthem, serving since November 20, 2017, 

Prior to going to Anthem Ms. Boudreaux was CEO of United Healthcare, Executive Vice President of Health Care Services Corporation as well as President of Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois.[7]

Boudreaux currently serves on the board of directors for Zimmer Biomet Holdings, the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership, Inc., and the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association.[8]

Ms. Boudreaux has been named as one of Fortune Magazine’s Most Powerful Women in Busines and featured by Forbes as one of 100 Most Powerful Women in the World. Additionally, she has been named by Modern Healthcare as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare, and she also received the 2018 Billie Jean King Leadership Award.[7]

33 - Jane Fraser - Citigroup

Jane Fraser was named Chief Executive Officer of Citigroup on February 26, 2021, and is the first female CEO in the firm’s history. Before becoming CEO she was President of Citi and had previous roles as CEO at Global Consumer Bank; Citigroup Latin America; U.S. Consumer and Commercial Banking and CitiMortgage; and Citi's Global Private Bank. Prior to that, Ms. Fraser was the global head of strategy and mergers and acquisitions for Citi, all within Citigroup. She joined Citi in 2004 in the corporate and investment banking division.

Before joining Citi, Jane was a partner at McKinsey & Company. She started her career with the Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. and, later worked for Asesores Bursátiles.

Ms. Fraser is Vice-Chair for Partnership for New York City and a member of the Harvard Business School’s Board of Dean’s Advisors; the Stanford Global Advisory Board; the Economic Club of New York; and the Council on Foreign Relations.[9]

In 2021 Ms. Fraser was featured in Forbes' inaugural "50 over 50" and the World's 100 Most Powerful Women, ranked 14,[10] as well as being named American Banker's Most Powerful Women in Banking.[11]

35 - Carol B. Tomé - UPS

Carol B. Tomé joined UPS as the Chief Executive Officer on June 1, 2020.

Before joining UPS, Ms. Tomé served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Home Depot, while previously being the company's Vice President and Treasurer. Prior to that, she was Vice President and Treasurer of Riverwood International Corporation, Director of Banking for Johns-Mansville Corporation, and a commercial lender with United Bank of Denver (now Wells Fargo.)

Ms. Tomé serves as a board member for Verizon Communications, Inc. and is a board trustee for Grady Memorial Hospital Corporation and the  Atlanta Botanical Garden. She is also a member of The Committee of 200, The Buckhead Coalition, The Business Council, and the International Business Council of The World Economic Forum[12]

In 2021 Ms. Tomé was featured in both "50 over 50" and "The World's 100 Most Powerful Women" by Forbes[13]

66 - Corie Barry - Best Buy

Corie Barry is the CEO of Best Buy Company since June 1, 2019, and also serves on the company’s board of directors. Ms . Barry joined Best Buy in 1999 and has held a variety of financial and operational roles including CFO, Chief Strategic Growth Officer, Senior Vice President of Domestic Finance, and interim President of Best Buy’s Services Organization.

Before joining Best Buy, Ms. Barry started her career as an auditor at Deloitte & Touche.

Ms. Barry serves on the board of trustees for the College of St. Benedict, and on the board of directors for Domino’s Pizza.[14]

Additionally, she was featured in Fortune's list of Most Powerful Women in 2020[15]

74 - Tricia Griffith - Progressive

Tricia has been the President and Chief Executive Officer and served on the Board of Directors since July 1, 2016. Prior to this Ms. Griffith served as Personal Lines Chief Operating Officer, President of Customer Operations, group president of Claims, Chief Human Resources Officer, and started her career at Progressive as a Claims Representative.[16]

In Addition to her responsibilities at Progressive, Ms. Griffith also sits on the Board of Directors at the Children's Place and is an Executive Sponsor of the LGBT Employee Resource Group.[17]

In 2021 Ms. Griffith was featured in Forbes' World's 100 Most Powerful Women and "50 Over 50" for Investment.[18]

79 - Thasunda Duckett Brown - TIAA

Thasunda Brown Duckett is President and Chief Executive Officer of TIAA having been so since May 1, 2021.

Ms. Duckett joined TIAA after serving as Chief Executive Officer of Chase Consumer Banking. Prior to that, she served as CEO of Chase Auto Finance, National Retail Sales Executive for Chase Mortgage Banking, and Director of Emerging Markets at Fannie Mae throughout her career.

Currently, Ms. Duckett serves on the boards of NIKE, Brex Inc., Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, Sesame Workshop, National Medal of Honor Museum, Economic Club of New York, University of Houston Board of Visitors, and Dean’s Advisory Board for the Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business. She is also a member of the Executive Leadership Council, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., and Jack and Jill of America Inc.

Additionally, She founded the Otis and Rosie Brown Foundation in honor of her parents to recognize and reward people who use ordinary means to empower and uplift their community in extraordinary ways.[19]

80 - Safra Catz - Oracle

Safra A. Catz has served as chief executive officer of Oracle Corporation since September 28, 2014, and as a member of the company’s Board of Directors since 2001. She previously served as President of Oracle and has also served as the company’s Chief Financial Officer.

Ms. Catz currently serves as a director of The Walt Disney Company.[21]

In 2021 Ms. Catz was featured in Forbes' list of the World's Most Powerful Women and America's Most Succesful Self-Made Women.[22]

84 - Phebe N. Novakovic - General Dynamics

Phebe N. Novakovic has been the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of General Dynamics since January 1, 2013. Previously at general Dynamics, she was the President and Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President of Marine Systems, Senior Vice President of Planning and Development, and Vice President.

Before joining General Dynamics, Novakovic served as the Special Assistant to the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Defense, worked for the Office of Management and Budget as Deputy Associate Director for National Security, and for the Central Intelligence Agency. Ms. Novakovic began her career in 1979 as an analyst for the McLean Research Center.[23]

Additionally, Ms. Novakovic is currently a Director at JPMorgan Chase.[24]

In 2021, Ms. Novakovic was ranked #30 on Forbes' list of the 100 Most Powerful Women.[25]

86 - Kathy Warden - Northrop Grumman

Kathy Warden is the CEO of Northrop Grumman, holding that position since January 1, 2019, while also being President, and Chair of their Board of Directors. Prior to becoming CEO and president, Ms. Warden served as Chief Operating Officer, Corporate Vice President, and President of Mission Systems and Information Systems sectors.

Prior to joining Northrop Grumman, Ms. Warden held leadership roles at General Dynamics and the Veridian Corporation, and she spent nearly a decade with the General Electric Company working in commercial industries.

She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Merck & Co., and Catalyst, as the chair of the Aerospace Industries Association, as the Vice-Chair of the Greater Washington Partnership, and on the James Madison University Board of Visitors. She is also a member of the Business Roundtable.[26]

In 2021, Ms. Warden was ranked #40 on Forbes' list of the 100 Most Powerful Women.[25]

126 - Lynn Good - Duke Energy

Lynn Good is Chair, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Duke Energy. Before becoming CEO, on July 1, 2013, she served as Duke Energy’s Chief Financial Officer and earlier led the company’s commercial energy businesses.

She began her utility career with Cincinnati-based Cinergy, which merged with Duke Energy. Prior to this, she was a partner at two international accounting firms, including a long career with Arthur Andersen.

Ms. Good currently serves on the boards of directors for Boeing, the Edison Electric Institute, the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations, the World Association of Nuclear Operators, the Business Roundtable, myFutureNC, and the New York City Ballet. She also serves on the advisory council of the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art in Charlotte, N.C.

Fortune magazine lists Ms. Good as 23rd among the “Most Powerful Women in Business,” and Forbes magazine calls her one of “The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women.”[27]

132 - Heyward Donigan - RITE AID

Heyward Donigan was appointed Rite Aid’s president and chief executive officer on August 12, 2019.

Before joining Rite Aid, Donigan was President and Chief Executive Officer of Sapphire Digital, led Sapphire Digital’s Strategy and Operations, President and Chief Executive Officer of ValueOptions, Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer at Premera Blue Cross, Senior Vice President of All Operations at Cigna Healthcare, and executive roles at General Electric, Empire BCBS and U.S. Healthcare.[28]

160 - Patti Poppe - PG&E

Patricia K. Poppe is the Chief Executive Officer of San PG&E Corporation, joining on January 4, 2021.

Ms. Poppe joined PG&E after five years as President and CEO of CMS Energy and its subsidiary, Consumers Energy. Prior to that, she was at Michigan company, where she served as Senior Vice President of Distribution Operations, Engineering, and Transmission; Vice President of Customer Experience, Rates and Regulation; and Vice President of Customer Operations, and served as a Power Plant Director at DTE Energy.

Chris Leahy is President & Chief Executive Officer of CDW, assuming that position on January 1, 2109. Ms. Leahy has held numerous roles at CDW, serving as Chief Revenue Officer, Senior Vice President-International, Chief Legal Officer/general counsel, and corporate secretary.

Vicki Hollub is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Occidental Petroleum Corporation, since April 29, 2016, and a member of Occidental’s Board of Directors. Ms. Hollub joined Occidental more than 30 years ago and has held a variety of management and technical positions. Most recently, she served as Occidental's president and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, she was the company's Senior Executive Vice President, and President of Oxy Oil and Gas.

Vicki Hollub started her career at Cities Service, which was acquired by Occidental Petroleum.

Ms. Hollub is the U.S. Chair for the U.S.-Colombia Business Council. She currently serves on the boards of Lockheed Martin, American Petroleum Institute, and Khalifa University for Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi[31]

195 - Michelle Gass - Kohl's

Michelle Gass is CEO of Kohl’s, being in that role since May 18, 2018. She joined Kohl’s as Chief Customer Officer, and then as Chief Merchandising and Customer Officer.[32]

Prior to her time at Kohl's, Ms. Gass spent years at Starbucks as President Starbucks EMEA, President Seattle's Best Coffee, and Executive Vice President Marketing and Category.[33]

Ms. Gass currently serves on the Board of Directors for PepsiCo, Retail Industry Leaders Associates, National Retail Federation, and Children’s Wisconsin.

She has received numerous professional honors, including being named to Fortune’s Most Powerful Women in Business and Businessperson of the Year lists, as well as being named The Visionary 2020 by the National Retail Federation.[32]

207 - Anna Manning - Reinsurance Group of America

Anna Manning is President, Chief Executive Officer, a member of the Board of Directors for Reinsurance Group of America. She assumed the role of CEO on January 1, 2017. She first joined RGA in 2007 having many roles including Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for RGA’s International Division, Executive Vice President and Head of U.S. Markets as well as Mexican and Latin American markets, and Senior Executive Vice President, Global Structured Solutions.

Before coming to RGA, Ms. Manning spent nearly two decades with the Toronto office of Towers Perrin’s Tillinghast insurance consulting practice, where she provided consulting services to the insurance industry in mergers and acquisitions, value-added performance measurement, product development, and financial reporting.

Anna is Chairman of the Longer Life Foundation, a member of the Board of Directors of the Geneva Association, a member of the Board of Trustees at Washington University and the BJC HealthCare Board of Directors, and she is a member of Greater St. Louis, Inc.[34]

219 - Beth Ford - Land O'Lakes

Beth Ford serves as President and CEO of Land O’Lakes, a position she has held since August 1, 2018.[34] Before being named CEO, Ms. Ford held many positions at Land O'Lakes including Chief Operating Officer - Land O'Lakes Businesses; Group Executive Vice President - Chief Operating Officer; Executive Vice President Chief Supply Chain, and Operations Officer.[35]

Prior to joining Land O'Lakes Ms. Ford had lower management positions at International Flavors and Fragrances, Hachette Scholastic Corporation, PepsiCo/Pepsi Bottling Group, and Perseco Mobil Oil.

Additionally, Ms. Ford serves on the boards PACCAR, BlackRock, Business Roundtable, United States Global Leadership Campaign, National Milk Producers Federation, Consumer Brands Association, National Council of Farmer Cooperatives. She is also an advisory board member at the Deming Center at Columbia University and an executive advisory board member at Iowa State University.

221- Sonia Syngal - Gap

Sonia Syngal is the Chief Executive Officer of Gap Inc., having that position since March 23, 2020. Prior to that, she was Executive Vice President of Global Supply Chain and Product Operations, Managing Director for the company's European business, Senior Vice President for Gap Inc.’s International Division and International Outlet Division.[36]

Before joining Gap Ms. Syngal held the positions of Senior Director of Manufacturing at Sun Microsystems and Product Manager at Ford Motor Company.[37]

In Addition, She is a member of the Boys & Girls Club of America’s Board of Governors and serves on The Gap Foundation Board of Trustees. Sonia is also a Steering Committee member of the Fashion Pact.[36]

236 - Judy Marks - Otis Worldwide

Judy Marks is the President, CEO, and Chair of Otis Worldwide, coming to the company as President in October of 2017 and taking on the title of CEO on April 3, 2020.

Before Ms. Marks was bought on to Otis, she spent time at Siemen's and its subsidiaries, including positions as CEO, Executive Vice President of New Equipment Solutions, and Executive Vice President of Global Solutions at Dresser-Rand; CEO at Siemens USA; and President and CEO at Siemens Government Technologies Inc. Prior to that, she was Vice President, Strategy & Business Development, Electronic Systems; President, Transportation & Security Solutions; President, Information Systems & Global Services; Executive Vice President, Transportation & Security Solutions; and President, Distribution and Technologies Division at Lockheed Martin.

Ms. Marks is also currently a board member at Otis Worldwide and AdvanceCT, and a member of the Business Roundtable.[38]

In 2021 Ms. Marks received one of CED's Leadership Awards for corporate citizenship and business stewardship.[39]

242 - Barbara Rentler - Ross Stores

Barbara Rentler has serves as Vice-Chair of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. She was elevated to CEO on June 1, 2014. Prior to ascending to that role, she was President and Chief Merchandising Officer, Ross Dress for Less; and Executive Vice President, Merchandising. Additionally, she served at dd’s DISCOUNTS as Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer; and Senior Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer since joining Ross Stores in 1986.[40]

295 - Penny Pennington - Edward Jones

Penny Pennington is the managing partner of Edward Jones, a Fortune 500 financial services firm. Ms. Pannington began her Edward Jones career in 2000 as a financial advisor in Livonia, Mich. In 2006, she was named a principal and has held various leadership roles since.[41]

Prior to joining Edward Jones Ms. Penningtonwas Managing Director - Corporate and Investment Banking at Comerica Bank, and Sr. Vice President - Corporate and Investment Banking at Wachovia Bank, GA.[42]

Besides her role at Edward Jones she currently serves on the boards of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, United Way of Greater St. Louis, the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, Washington University in St. Louis Board of Trustees, the Whitaker Foundation, and Executive Committee of the Chair's Council for Greater St. Louis, Inc.

309 - Dr. Lisa Su - AMD

Dr. Lisa Su is Chair, President, and Chief Executive officer of AMD, becoming so on August 14, 2014. Prior to serving as President and CEO, she was Chief Operating Officer. Dr. Su joined AMD as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Global Business Units.

Prior to joining AMD, Dr. Su served as senior vice president and general manager, Networking and Multimedia at Freescale Semiconductor Inc., Freescale as Chief Technology Officer, at IBM in various engineering and business leadership positions, including Vice President of the Semiconductor Research and Development Center, and a member of the technical staff at Texas Instruments Inc.

She currently serves on the board of directors of Cisco Systems, Inc., and the Semiconductor Industry Association.

Dr. Su's recent awards and accolades include an International Peace Honors Honoree in 2022 and Forbes 100 Most Powerful Women, IEEE Robert N. Lauren Hobart became CEO of Dick's Sporting Goods on February 1, 2021, adding to her titles of President and Member of the Board of Directors. Prior to this, she held the positions of Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Customer and Digital Officer. 

In her career, Ms. Hobart spent time at Pepsi Co. as CMO Carbonated Soft Drinks, Vice President Marketing, Marketing Director - Mountain Dew, and Marketing Director - Diet Pepsi, among other positions; Associate Vice President at Wells Fargo; and Account Officer, Credit Analyst at JPMorgan Chase.

In addition, Ms. Hoberts currently serves on the Board of Directors of Yum! Brands and is the President of the Dick's Sporting Goods Foundation.[44]

363 - Joey Wat - Yum China Holdings

Joey Wat has served as our Chief Executive Officer since March 1, 2018, and is a current member of our Board of Directors. Prior to being elevated to this position, she served as President and Chief Operating Officer; Chief Executive Officer, KFC; and President of KFC China.

Before joining YUM, Ms. Wat served in both management and strategy positions at A.S. Watson Group, her last position Managing Director of Watson Health & Beauty U.K. and Managing Director of Savers. Before joining Watson, Ms. Wat spent seven years in management consulting including with McKinsey & Company.

Ms. Wat was ranked number 34 on Forbes World’s Most Powerful Women list in 2020 and 2021, named to Forbes China 100 Top Businesswomen List in 2021, named by FORTUNE magazine as one of the Top 25 China Most Powerful Women in Business, and the Top 50 Most Powerful Women in International Business in 2020. Since March 1, 2017, Michele Buck has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Hershey Company. In addition to those roles, she also serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for the company. Ms. Buck has held several senior leadership roles within the company. Most recently, serving as Chief Operating Officer.

Before joining Hershey, Ms. Buck held positions at Kraft/Nabisco in numerous senior positions, including Senior Vice President and General Manager for Kraft Confections, and at the Frito-Lay division of PepsiCo.

She serves on the Board of Directors at New York Life, and as a Benefit Co-Chair for the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation.[48]

399 - Kathy Mazzarella - Graybar Electric

Kathy Mazzarella is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Graybar Electric and has held that position since June 1, 2012. She also serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors. Prior to that, she's held many positions at Graybar including, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, multiple Senior Vice President, and Vice President positions, over her 30 years at Graybar.

412 - Nazzic Keene - Science Applications International

Nazzic Keene is Chief Executive Officer and Board Member for Science Applications International, since August 2019. Ms. Keene has previously held several executive positions with the company, including Chief Operating Officer, President of the Company’s Global Markets & Missions sector, and Senior Vice president for Corporate Strategy.

Prior to joining SAIC, Ms. Keene was the Senior Vice President and General Manager for U.S. Enterprise Markets at CGI.

425 - Laura Aler - Williams-Sonoma

Laura Alber has served as Williams-Sonoma's President and Chief Executive Officer, as well as a member of its Board of Directors since May 26, 2010. Before being elevated to this role she has worked in many executive leadership roles during her tenure at Williams-Sonoma. 

Ms. Alber currently serves on the Board of Trustees at the University of Pennsylvania, and as an advisor to Plexo Capital.[51]

In 2021, Ms. Albers was featured in Barron's list of Top CEOs[52] and the CEO Today USA Award for 2021.[53]

426 - Sue Y. Nabi - Coty

Sue Y. Nabi is the Chief Executive Officer of Coty, coming to the position on September 1, 2020. 

Prior to joining Coty Ms. Nabi was Co_founder of Orveda. Additionally, before this, she was at L'Oreal where she was General Manager of L'Oreal France prior to becoming President of L'Oreal Worldwide.[54]

427 - Linda Rendle - Clorox

Linda Rendle is Chief Executive Officer of The Clorox Company, a position she assumed on September 14, 2020. Before she was elevated to CEO, Ms. Rendle was previously President, Executive Vice President Senior Vice President – Cleaning, Vice President and General Manager — Home Care, Vice President of Sales – Cleaning Division, Director of Sales for the Customer Supply Chain, and Director of Sales Planning – Litter, Food and Charcoal. Her career at Clorox began as a senior sales analyst on the company’s charcoal and insecticides businesses.

Before joining Clorox, Rendle worked for The Procter & Gamble Company, where she held several positions in sales management in the Boston and Charlotte markets.

Rendle is on the board of directors of Visa Inc. and the Consumer Brands Association, the advisory board of Generation Thrive, and Kaiser Permanente.[55]

In 2020 she was named to Forbes' List of the World's Most Powerful Women.[56]

431 - Kristin Peck - Zoetis

Kristin Peck has been the Chief Executive Officer of Zoetis since January 1, 2020, and is also a member of the Zoetis Board of Directors. Prior to becoming CEO, Ms. Peck was executive vice president and group president, U.S. Operations, Business Development, and Strategy at Zoetis.

Before joining Zoetis, Ms. Peck served as executive vice president, Worldwide Business Development and Innovation at Pfizer Inc. and as a member of Pfizer's Executive Leadership Team. Prior to joining Pfizer, Ms. Peck held roles at The Boston Consulting Group as well as in private equity and real estate finance at The Prudential Realty Group, The O'Connor Group, and J.P. Morgan.

Ms. Peck is on the Board of BlackRock, and Catalyst.

Ms. Peck is on the Board of BlackRock, and Catalyst. She is also a member of the Business Roundtable. In addition, she serves on the Advisory Board for the Deming Center for Quality, Productivity, and Competitiveness at Columbia Business School.

Ms. Peck has gained recognition by being named a Fortune 2020 Businessperson of the Year.[56]

448 - Reshma Kewalramani - Vertex Pharmaceuticals

Dr. Reshma Kewalramani, M.D., FASN, is the Chief Executive Officer and President at Vertex Pharmaceuticals and has been in this role since April 1, 2020. She joined Vertex in 2017 and was previously the Chief Medical Officer and Executive Vice President of Global Medicines Development and Medical Affairs[57] and Senior Vice President. 

Before joining Amgen, Dr. Kewalramani spent 12 years at Amgen serving many different roles including, Vice President - Head of US Medical Organization; and Vice President - Head Nephrology and Metabolic Therapeutic Area, Global Clinical Development.[58]

Dr. Kewalramani is a member of the board of directors of the Biomedical Science Careers Program,  She is also a member of the Boston University School of Medicine Dean’s Advisory Board, the Massachusetts General Hospital Board of Trustees, and the Ginkgo Bioworks board of directors. She is a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology and was on the inaugural Board of Directors of the Kidney Health Initiative. 

She is the recipient of the Harvard Medical School Excellence in Teaching Award. In 2020, Business Insider named her one of 10 people transforming health care, and she was included on the PharmaVOICE 100 list of the most inspiring and influential leaders in the life sciences and Boston Business Journal’s list of Women Who Mean Business. In 2021, Dr. Kewalramani received the Golden Door Award from the International Institute of New England and was named a New Englander of the Year by the New England Council. Under her leadership as CEO, Vertex was ranked #2 on The Commonwealth Institute’s Top Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts in 2021.[57]

452 - Sheryl Palmer - Taylor Morrison Home

Sheryl Palmer is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Taylor Morrison Home, serving since 2007. Ms. Palmer came to the company as Regional President of Morrison Homes in 2006.

Prior to joining Taylor Morrison, Ms. Palmer served as Area President at PoliteGroup and Division President at Del Webb.[59]

Ms. Palmer currently serves as Chairman of the Building Talent Foundation, is on the Board of Directors of Interface Inc., and is an Executive Committee Member of the Joint Center for Housing Studies Policy Advisory Board at Harvard University.[60]

In 2021, Ms. Palmer was awarded Humanitarian Award by Hearthstone Builder.[61]

477 - Lori J. Ryerkerk - Celanese

Lori J. Ryerkerk is the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and President of Celanese Corporation, serving as CEO since April 2, 2021. 

Previously, Ms. Ryerkerk was the Executive Vice President of Global Manufacturing, at Shell Downstream Inc. Ms. Ryerkerk joined Shell in May 2010 as the Regional Vice President of Manufacturing in Europe and Africa. Before joining Shell, she was Senior Vice President, Refining, Supply, and Terminals at Hess Corporation. Prior to that, Ryerkerk spent 24 years with ExxonMobil where he took on a variety of operational and senior leadership roles in Refining and Chemicals Manufacturing, Power Generation, and various other groups including Supply, Economics, and Planning, HSSE, and Public Affairs/Government Relations.

She currently serves on the board of directors of Eaton Corporation.[62]

In 2020, Ms. Ryerkerk was named CEO of the Year by D Magazine.[63]

480 - Adena Friedman - Nasdaq

Adena Friedman became President and Chief Executive Officer of Nasdaq on January 1, 2017, and is a member of the Board of Directors. Prior to being named CEO, Ms. Friedman served as President and Chief Operating Officer starting in 2016. Having two tenures at Nasdaq, she was a key member of Nasdaq's management team from 1993 to 2011 serving in a variety of roles, including head of the company's data products business, Head of Corporate Strategy, and Chief Financial Officer. She originally joined Nasdaq in 1993 as an intern.

After her initial tenure at Nasdaq, Ms. Friedman served as Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director of The Carlyle Group.

In Addition to her responsibilities with Nasdaq, Ms. Friedman has served as a Class B director to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. She was elected to the Board of Directors of FCLTGlobal and is a member of the Vanderbilt University Board of Trust.[64]

Ms. Friedman has received much recognition throughout her career including, being featured in Forbes' 100 Most Powerful Women in 2021, as #41[20] and Fortune's Business Person of the Year list for 2020.[65]

484 - Jenny Johnson - Franklin Resources

Jenny Johnson is President and Chief Executive Officer of Franklin Resources, Inc, serving as CEO since February 11, 2020. She is also a member of the company's Board of Directors. Ms. Johnson joined the company in 1988 and previously held the role of Chief Operating Officer within the company.

Additionally, she is a board member of the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, JMT Wilderness Conservancy, and the Carolands Foundation, and a trustee at Crystal Springs Uplands School. Ms. Johnson also serves as an advisor to Shatter Fund LLC and is a member of the NYSE Board Advisory Council.

In 2020 and 2021, Ms. Johnson was named to Barron's list of the 100 Most Influential Women in U.S. Finance. She has been named one of Money Management Executive's Top Women in Asset Management and was chosen by her peers as one of Ignites' Most Influential Women in Fund Management. Ms. Johnson is a recipient of the Robert L. Gould Award and has also been recognized by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business.[65]

492 - Barbara R. Smith - Commercial Metal

Barbara Smith is Chairman of the Board, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Commercial Metals Company, being named CEO on September 1, 2017. Ms. Smith joined CMC in June 2011 and has served as Chief Operating Officer, Senior Vice President, and Chief Financial Officer.

Prior to joining CMC, Ms. Smith was the Chief Financial Officer for Gerdau Ameristeel and FARO Technologies. Her career also includes over 20 years of service with Alcoa Inc. where she held a variety of leadership positions[66] including VP of Finance.[67]

In addition to her role at CMC, Ms. Smith serves on the Board of Directors for Comerica Incorporated and serves on the Dallas and Tampa Boards of the American Heart Association. She is also a member of the G100 Network.

In 2020, Barbara was recognized by S&P Global Platts as the winner of the Global Metals Award, 2020 CEO of the Year.[66]
